The THERMOTOP plates are different from traditional polystyrene in the following:

1. They have two support sides for the thermally insulating core which help provide an insulation for vapor circulation and a better heat reflection inside the area (for the aluminum foil support side – AL); obtaining a better adherence of the hot bitumen adhesive layers and ensuring a certain degree of vapor circulation insulation (for the roofing felt support side – B); obtaining a better reaction to fire – B-s1, d0 (excluding support) and generating an aesthetic support alternative – where finishing is cancelled (for the glass fiber side – FG).
2. They have a mechanical strength superior to expanded polystyrene and a mechanical strength comparable to extruded polystyrene.
3. They have a much lower thermal conductivity coefficient.
4. They may be used both on the outside and on the inside.
